A new publication by the Repatriates Collective (published by Hatje Cantz) accompanies the exhibition “Tide of Returns” at Ocean Space. The book documents the works on view and gathers texts, images, and reflections by the participating artists and contributors.

From March 28 until October 11, 2026, “Weaving Connections” is part of the exhibition “Tide of Returns” at Ocean Space in Venice. The exhibition explores the role of art and water in shaping processes of repatriation, bringing together an artist collective, Indigenous communities, and filmmakers in the former Church of San Lorenzo.
My contribution is a textile–video installation occupying the east wing of the church. Woven blue-toned fabrics are threaded with black braids, while a three-channel video follows a performance of preparing, braiding, and washing textiles in a river.
